Hi!

At first i have to welcome you to visit here my brand new personal financial blog! This is my first writing here and i'm really doubtful that what the f*ck i'm doing. There are a countless number of this kind of sites over the internet and i'm a big fan of lots of them. I have read them many years from now, but it's finally the time to start my very own.

Who am I?

I'm 23-years-old man from Finland (Its located in northern Europe). And as you might guess, english isn't my native language, so try to forgive me all my grammatical errors i make. I graduated as a firefighter at last year, but unfortunately i don't work in the fire department anymore. Enconomy is pretty bad, so they try to save money and consequence of that is i don't have a job in there anymore (i did work there only 4 months). Luckily i got another job from private security company, but i hate the job, i have a low salary and i don't get the full working hours in there either.

Why i launched this blog

My current situation put me to do something to improve my financials. So this is my attempt to start new online hobby or even a small online business. It would be great to make this another cash flow to my financial statement. I also want to improve my english language skills, track my thinking and learn more about personal finance and investing. 

My financials

I'm a frugal man. I have tried to save at least 50% of my after tax income and i have succeed pretty well. I have tracked my cash flow since 2011 and if i calculate all my incomes together and reduce my expenses, my savings rate is 55%.

I started investing 2007, just before the stockmarket crash. At this moment 95% of all my assets are in stocks, just like i had back then. My strategy is buy and hold passive index funds.

My financial goals

Although at the moment i don't work as a firefighter, i belive i will do in the near future. The current retirement age in Finland is 65 and it's likely growing. Thats just too high age in this profession and i don't want to die at work. I also want to increase my incomes and decrease my dependece of work. In other words my ultimate goal is financial independency and early retirement.
